Each class has unique skills that favor some playstyles while punish others. Every class offers a different perspective into the game and one thing is certain.
Each one is a hell of a lot stronger with P skills!
As a player, you will be able to choose your class at level 20, although you will be able to change it at levels 40, 76 and later.
Part 1: Peace with an Expiry Date
They say, the old Gods are dead. But… What happened to them? We are on a sacred mission, the world’s most fearsome warriors united for a single cause, to find the sacred Book of Knowledge. Weeks now we are exploring this ‘Monastery of Silence’ but so far no sight of it. Yesterday we lost our leader and it’s only Mark and me now. This place… this place is different, it’s always changing plus it’s freezing cold. Battles keep us warm but even the Monks become fewer and fewer here. Mark got injured by a poisoned blade recently and his leg is paralyzed. We are going to wait some days for him to heal and then we will get the hell out of here, although I feel like we are getting closer and closer to it...
After a couple of days they find the Holy Room and the Leap of Faith.
Mark this is it, the Holy Room, and that must be the Leap of Faith, or was it the Leap of Doom?
Immediately Eve walked right through the emptiness and passed on the other side, Mark, on the other hand with a paralyzed leg and with plenty of doubts, stayed back and watched out for her. The door opened and the torches became brighter like they were waiting her. Mark! The book is right here she yelled, and her eyes was blinded by its pure light. She went above the book of knowledge but it was empty, on every single page. The Ascendants had told them that in order to see the readings you have to drink from the Holy Grail. So she did and her eyes started shinning. As she approached the book everything became clear and she started reading.
When the world was formed, two different but equal energies were immersed. One was representing the positive and active side of life and called itself Yang while the other was representing the negative and passive side and called itself Yin. For millennia these godlike entities were fighting without realizing that they were two parts of the same whole. Their powers were equal and there was only one solution, to create something that will fight their battle and the loser would self-destruct. So, they gave life into five races. Yang made the Humans and the Elves, while Yin made the Dark Elves, the Orcs and the Dwarves. The two factions continued their fight for decades, weakening each other’s energy in order to finish them but something unexpected happened… Not even the Gods had predicted that…
After finishing the last line, the ground started shaking like the whole room would collapse into the abyss, rocks fell right next to her and the book suddenly closed. Without a second thought she started running through the gates but in the middle she yelled, "I’ve got to take the book". So she turned around and in an instant a big rock crushed in front of her, breaking into skulls and bones… Panicked, Eve fell down and started running towards the bridge with out looking back… Her faith was lost and she was stuck at the collapsing side, there was nothing she could do but to jump! Mark grabbed his sword from the cutting edge and stretched as much as a human can stretch. “Jump now!” He yelled and so she did. Her jump was weak and the distance was big. Her fate was sealed and she fell into the void.
Everything stopped a few seconds later, complete silence. The ground stopped shaking and miraculously the fallen rocks started filling the cracked spots of the ground like they had a mind of their own. She was gone and he was looking down into the darkness, frozen. The exit behind him was clean and clear like something caused this only inside the Holy Room. He had no idea what was going on… That moment a light suddenly appeared from the darkness below, a floating ghost raised above the invisible bridge…
It’s her... Her soul... She was going towards the room, completely ignoring Mark, like she had a final task to do. She opened the book once again and wrote something to it. A moment later she closed it and approached the Holy Grail, she correctly placed it at its original position and slowly got disintegrated inside it. The water level went into the same height as before and everything went back to normal.
The doors were closed and Mark had no idea what to do. His feelings were right all along! This placed is ruled by something out of this world. The Ascendants had told them something about an unknown Spirit Realm. So this thing must be a pretty old and ruthless spirit, he thought. Terrified, he understood that nothing can gather so much knowledge unless, it lurks the knowledge in... He failed his mission and there was nothing else he could do.
The atmosphere was cold but peaceful and he knew that he had to fight his way out. All his friends were dead but there was no space for weakness. He grabbed his legendary sword with both of his bleeding hands, he centered himself into a charge position and he was ready for One Last Fight!
TO BE CONTINUED... (Part 2: The Awakening)
Project LIPO is a faction-oriented, open chronicle, Lineage 2 private server that with the terms of time-limited Chapters will evolve and expand.
First of all, Project LIPO consists of 9 Chapters total, each one has a different gameplay and lasts around 4 months. A Sub Chapter is storyline only and it contains info about the previous Chapter’s result, it influences the next Chapter and lasts around 15 days. Finally a Narrative consist of a trilogy of Chapters and Sub Chapters, shapes the game to its maximum degree and lasts around 1 year.
At Prologue? I guess around 2.000 players each server. When the main story starts at Chapter 1, I think the ideal amount of players will be around 1.200, but I might be wrong. Now if you’re wondering what happens if a server gets full? Well… There will be a Main server that writes the storyline of each Chapter, this is the Alpha server. When this server gets full beta servers will go live and will live by their own. Although their result won’t influence the official story line.
The Prologue is free to play, after that I would prefer the pay to play model for each Chapter because of many reasons. If you compare the Pay to Play concept with the Free to Play based on how much money will the game make, it has been tested and proved that the Free to Play will eventually make much more money that the former. But yet again money doesn’t have any power here… I’m joking, to be honest that’s the best way to work for you and for us. Now seriously, that’s how you prevent bots, hackers, economy ruinners and offer a centuries ahead experience than pay to win. Plus we need limited and controlled population in each server, so in this way we eliminate the 99% of the problems. But the best of all is that you know, you will pay for example 10 Euro and live a 4 months of unique unimaginably awesome experience with 0% boredom. At the end if you don’t trust big words a free static server will be available for each Chapter. But again I need to see how the things will play out at Prologue. So nothing is certain!
Now about donations, you can freely donate anything you want. With each proper donation you will get LIPO Coins (lipocs) in your desired character. LIPOCs can be used for many things, but buying OP weapons/armors, 100% successful enchants and other game-breaking stuff are not among them.
Well we found out for this unique type of gameplay 4 months is the ideal period in order to achieve the best experience. The game has been carefully designed to provide you constantly with something to do and non-stop fun. Of course it will be influence by the players but in general it is made to not overpass that period, besides that’s the main goal, to give the players a form of power to shape the storyline based on their gameplay. We could make it last 10 months but then we should gameplay nonsense and boring. Remember the thing that matters is not how long you have lived, but how well you did so.
The Official Opening is on 15th of July. Although there will be a Soft Opening, 6 days earlier. Check here: http://projectlipo.com/download/
The Prologue’s Chronicle is Interlude, i can’t share anything about the others though.
Heh, the idea of people afking at towns, hundredths of bots farming and 5 people PvPing doesn’t belong here. First of all because the Prologue is free to play, there might be some people that will do the things above but there is no room for bots, because simply the very gameplay doesn’t fit to have a bot.
You’ll witness it.
Maybe you are right, but there is a reason I’ve done everything by myself. It’s not because I’ve done this again nor that I don’t have the budget for everything to be perfect. The reason is that there is no one that could “assist” me making this except myself. And of course this will change now, because one can only do so much. About the videos, I will upload many videos related to gameplay and some advertising ones. Also I want to say sorry because I couldn’t bring the storyline into life but that’s a subject of change too.
My moto is: Start with less than you can get. For many security and integrity issues I will stick with it until I learn the how not to.
To be honest with you, no. Lineage 2 is a very old game and games today are generally fast so it doesn’t fit in. It has no unique high skill mechanics or cutting edge graphics but as far as I know none of these things make a game beautiful.
Lineage 2 is an almost 2 decade old game that can teach some fundamental things to the nowadays games. To begin with, that they all suck compared to this legendary game, i’m joking. Lineage 2 has something, it has the magic of simplicity and the beautifulness of its world. It’s all about friends and grind, all about sieges and raids, it’s all about those hours that you farmed the world to get that item that makes your character to look x10 cooler. The magic that you farm and a party comes to take your area but you call all your clan and ally and outnumber the shit out of them, or that moment when you and your friends defend the castle versus a dozen of clans, slaying them all like their mobs. That magic was priceless. That magic almost every game fails to achieve.
Now just imagine that magic into a massive scale faction war, at a neutral closed area and 2 opposite factions fighting nonstop. A world where everything got a purpose and story to be immersed with. A worth having game experience inside this beloved game.
